Best Cheap Restaurants in Reims
Are you travelling to Reims and on a budget? Don’t worry! Although Reims is known for its michelin-starred restaurants, there are some amazing restaurants and bistros that are not too expensive!
Pizzeria L’antica – Italian, Pizza
📍 Address: 48 rue Chanzy, 51100, Reims | 🍝 Cuisine: Italian, Pizza | 💰 Price Range: €8 – €15
Really really good pizza – strongly recommended! Also extremely friendly and fast which helps. Went with kids and they reckon it was the best pizza they’ve ever had!
– Richard T
If you are looking for an Italian restaurant in Reims, you are in luck, Pizzeria L’Antica offers amazing pizzas priced between €12 and €14.50. The restaurant is incredibly cosy and is the perfect spot for a nice lunch of dinner in Reims.
This family restaurant offers some amazing must-try options. I would recommend the “Salade Burrata” for €12.90, which comes with roquette, burrata, and truffle-flavoured mushroom cream. Then there is “La Gialla” at €14.50, which is a pizza that offers a unique blend of chicken, cherry tomatoes, onions, peppers, curry, coconut milk, and mozzarellalla.
Those who are a fan of the more classic pizzas can always order the Bresaola. This pizza comes with roquette, capers, bresaola, lots of buffalo mozzarella, cherry tomatoes and of course garlic and parmesan.
The menu also offers some vegan options such as the Julia Vegan for €14.10 which comes with eggplant caviar, fresh mushrooms, confit vegetables, roquette, cherry tomatoes, and olives. You can also go for the “Cesto Di Verdura” and “Carciofo” pizzas which are both €12 and excellent choices for vegetarians.

Aux Petits Oignons – French, European
📍 Address: 122 avenue de Laon, 51100, Reims | 🍝 Cuisine: French, European | 💰 Price Range: Not Available
It’s a bit of a walk to get to The Little Onion from the more touristy part of town but the food is incredible. Best food we’ve had in Reims. Service is great and the prices are on the low side.
– Review by 699RobinC
If you are looking for a French restaurant brasserie that serves amazing home made food then Aux Petits Oignons might be worth a visit. This restaurant, normally visited by locals, is known in the city for its warm atmosphere, excellent service, and of course amazing food.
Here you will find many great French and European dishes on the menu as well as more exotic choices. You can order anything from a chicken curry to flavourful onion rings, smoked salmon with a salmon terrine or even potted Paté and Pâté en Croûte which are both French Classics.
The restaurant is a bit of a walk from the centre of Reims, but if you are looking for great food without breaking the bank, then this is one to visit!

Vapeurs Et Gourmandises – French, European
📍 Address: 22 Place du Forum, 51100, Reims | 🍝 Cuisine: French, European, Contemporary | 💰 Price Range: €7 – €22
A new take on French food – small basket of super fresh ingredients flash steamed to retain natural tastes and nutrients. The place is modern and subdue but very efficient. The deserts were more traditional but very nice too – the owner told me he made them the morning himself! Decent prices and a nice discovery while visiting Reims.
– Review by Olivier R
The gourmand in you will love Vapeurs et Gourmandises. This little restaurant – café is known for its amazing food and great deserts. Everything they offer is extremely fresh – they even let you know what country the proteïne is from!
Vapeurs et Gourmandises is an interesting restaurant where they offer premade food (they made it themselves that day) just like a traiteur would, but then in a café or restaurant setting. You can even choose to pick up some food to take home with you!
Food at Vapeurs et Gourmandises is very reasonably priced with prices starting at €7. The food they offer changes depending on seasonality, but you should look out for the steamed hot goat cheese with pears and cumin honey, butternut squash velouté with creamy hazelnuts and the Champagne chicken fillet with Andalusian spices, chorizo, and organic vegetables.
Apart from amazing main dishes, this restaurant also serves deserts such as the Panivap’ ananas which is pineapple with dry fruits and salted butter caramel or the Moelleux au chocolat maison, crème anglaise which is homemade chocolate fondant with custard.

Best Mid-Tier Restaurants in Reims
Not necessarily on a budget? Then you might want to have a look at the best mid-tier restaurants in Reims. I have listed my three favourite restaurants where you can have some amazing food without completely breaking the bank. Many of these restaurants have lovely menus and extensive champagne lists!
L’Atelier – French
📍 Address: 2 rue Tronsson Ducoudray, 51100, Reims | 🍝 Cuisine: French | 💰 Price Range: €11 – €39
Fabulous atmosphere Incredible food Delicious world class duck and swordfish The fig pavlova was amazing!
– Review by Lynberutti
Restaurant L’Atelier in Reims is one of the best mid-tier restaurants in the Champagne region when it comes to French cuisine. This restaurant offers a sophisticated dining experience with prices from €25 for a main.
One of the reasons why I really wanted to include this restaurant in a guide for dining in Reims is their Menu Gourmet. The menu is €49 and includes disshes such as Swordfish tartare with Chinese cabbage and Asian vinaigrette, and Egg cooked at 63°C with parsnip cream and Cured Ham.
Being in the centre of France’s Champagne region, this restaurant also boasts an impressive selection of champagnes and wines. The champagne list includes amazing boutique champagnes such as Louis Roederer Collection 244 or if you want something more well-known you can go for the Ruinart Brut or the Taittinger.
All in all this gastronomic restaurant offers a combination of a great atmosphere and amazing food. As L’atelier is centrally located in Reims, the restaurant is very easy to get to. I would recommend booking a table as it can get pretty busy.

Le Riad Restaurant Oriental – Moroccan, Mediterranean
📍 Address: 12 Rue de Tambour, 51100 Reims | 🍝 Cuisine: Moroccan | 💰 Price Range: €26 – €54
Lovely quiet location in rue de tambour, a stone’s throw from Place du Forum. Authentic Moroccan cuisine. We had the lamb, apricot and almond tagline and a hearty couscous. Mint tea and cornes de gazelles to finish. Friendly staff. Dogs welcome.
– Review by Lizs100
Not in the mood for classic french cuisine? Why not head to Le Riad Restaurant? This Moroccan and Mediterranean restaurant is known as one of the best restaurants in Reims for those who enjou mediterranean cuisine.
The atmosphere of this restaurant offers a tapestry of Moroccan tradition and cultures. Here you will find beautiful coloured arches and beautifully painted walls.
On the menu you will find some of my personal favourite Moroccan dishes such as the Harira, which is a hearty Moroccan Soup (€9.00), a trio of Briwates which are absolutely amazing filled pastries (€11.50) and of course a whole selection of grilled meats and delishious Tajines.
The restaurant also has a great wine list. Why not drink champagne with your tajine? In the city of Reims this is definately not considered decadent.
Le Riad brings together the refinement of the Champagne region and the bold spices of Moroccan cuisine into a great restaurant serving finger-licking good food!

– Review by Skitravel2014
Bistro des Anges is very nice bistro in Reims. It was set up by two friends who know still run this restaurant together. The bistro is very much loved by locals as a place where you can sit with a glass of wine or champagne and enjoy a fantastic lunch or dinner.
Bistro des Anges serves classic French food with intersting options from around the world. If you are a vegetarian you will be happy to know that Bistro des Anges also offers vegetarian dishes.
Being a hop and a skip frop Reims Cathedral, Bistro des Anges is very easy to reach when you are on a trip to Reims. The food and wine here are impecable! I would recommend starting with an appetizer such as the charcutery platter or to go for the Baked Camembert.

When looking for places to eat in Reims that have a Michelin rating, you should definately have a look at L’Assiette Champenoise.
This restaurant is a temple of gourmet French cuisine where every dish tells an amazing story. I absolutely love L’Assiette Champenoise, not just because they are located in a gorgeous manoire, but also because of the way they beautifully display their food.
The signature dishes of this Michelin star restaurant offers signature dishes such as Normandy Scallops with white truffle for €175 and the Langoustine Royale at €145.

This is a Michelin two star restaurant and it does not disappoint! We ordered the 5 course tasting menu with wine pairing. Food, service, atmosphere, all top notch. Classic Old World experience.
– Review by lauderdaletraveler
No guide to Reims would be complete without mentioning Le Parc in Domaine Les Crayères. The Domaine itself is a beautiful castle which was also mentioned in my article on the best castle hotels in the Champagne region.
This restaurant has two michelin stars and is known to be one of the best restaurants in the Champagne capital of France. The restaurant offers great food and an extensive wine list with the best local champagne producers.
The kithcen is ran by Chef Philippe Mille who is a celebrated chef in the French food scene. He is known for combining elegance and culinary artistry. He creates a sophisticated dining experience which has made Le Parc an esteemed michelin-starred restaurant.
When looking at the a la carte menu we notice dishes such as roasted foie gras with sweet spices for € 95, veal sweetbreads and white truffle for € 150 or desert such as Fresh garden herbs with Marc de Champagne for € 32.
