Awesome experience with Jean-Philippe! Arrived a few min early with a very nice car/van with a lot of space. Very knowledgeable about Champagne, the process of making champagne and the region. Went to one of the biggest champagne houses which was fun to see and toured a little bit of the area. Had a fantastic lunch at a restaurant that Jean-Philippe had made reservations for.

If you are a fan of Champagne and have some days to spare in Paris, it is definitely worth it to book a day trip from Paris to the Champagne region. Should I book a tour starting in Paris or make my own way down to the Champagne region?
Whether you book a Champagne region tour with pickup in Paris or make your own way down by train is up to you. In my experience, getting from Paris to the Champagne region is pretty easy. There is a direct train and a return ticket will set you back about 60 euros if you book in advance. There are a lot of different tours that leave from either Reims or Epernay station. It means that you will overall have a lot more choice when it comes to the price range and the kind of tours you can book. If you want more information you can read my article on the best tours to book in the Champagne region.
If you are a bit nervous about taking the train from Paris to the Champagne region it is best you book a tour from Paris to Champagne.
What should I wear to a Champagne tasting tour?
When booking a Champagne tasting tour from Paris to Champagne you probably will want to know what to wear. I would personally advise you to wear something casual chique. Women can wear long trousers, a nice top and some flats while men are good with a pair of Chinos and a (polo)shirt. As for shoes I would recommend wearing flat shoes – preferably something that is comfortable but not too sporty. If you want the complete low-down on what to wear (and what to pack) on a trip to the Champagne region you can have a look at my blog post here.
