Fraser Valley Hot Dog because They have the best hot dogs ever
When the founders themselves have declared the hot dog as gourmet food, you know you’re in for a treat. With choices ranging from Vienna beef, elk brat, bison, wild boar, and add in a fully vegan carrot dog to the mix, your experience at Winter Park Colorado is never going to be the same. This is one of the best Winter Park restaurants and they offer toppings such as blue cheese, kraut, cheddar, jalapeno, onions, yellow mustard, Sriracha, and relish, or different tastes such as Swiss cheese, kraut, relish, and 1000 Island dressing. This Winter Park Restaurant has about 20 different hot dogs on its menu, all stated 100% beef, but also serve Bratwursts, Burgers, Sandwiches, and Fries. They have the best hot dogs ever, but having a choice to add on some calories after an excellent long day skiing is always lovely.
TIP: Don’t forget to visit the brewery next door and taste some of their craft beer! Dogs are welcome and they have board games. Their beer is absolutely amazing!
Idlewild Distillery Winter Park restaurant
What is the one thing that can take away that chill that had pierced your bones after a day out in the snow? A good ol’ spirit and these guys have enough variety to make you forget you’re even at Winter Park. This Winter Park restaurant has a passion for distilling can be seen in the variations they offer, apart from the great whiskey. They have an “Idle Series”: their traditional spirits “expertly crafted with painstaking care..” and a “Wild Series” which showcases their passion with new and exciting trials. Idlewild’s selection offers vodkas, gins, rums, and carignan. Their infusions range from hibiscus, vanilla, and different types of barrels- don’t ask us. They have a brown colored gin and whiskeys with aromas of caramel and chocolate. Did we mention they had great whiskeys? This Winter Park restaurant is worth a visit if you are into spirits and great food!
Carver’s for breakfast as their Huevos Rancheros is great
One thing you can’t miss out on while enjoying a winter wonderland is a steady breakfast. Our go-to recommendation for breakfast is definitely Carver’s. The breakfast specialities at this amazing Winter Park restaurant range from Belgian waffles to mixed grills to classic egg benedict dishes to the Colorado staple breakfast: Huevos Rancheros, which is now one of my absolute favourite breakfasts. This amazing breakfast consists of a skillet with eggs, beef, cheese, and lots of veggies. With breakfast specialities extending from the classics mentioned above to more adventurous dishes, it is not surprising that this Winter Park restaurant is a must-visit for your next and coming breakfast meals. Carver’s even freshly bake their bagels every morning and offer healthier options such as granola jars and oatmeal puddings. It’s healthy if you don’t call it dessert.

For example, they have a “Spokes”, which comes in two sizes, which is a thick pizza dough loaded with garlic-infused olive oil, tons of cheese and a side of marinara. Or you can try their wings, in a range of flavours from chilli Thai to plain, or the “Barrel Roll”, a pizza dough rolled with several varieties of goodness, mozzarella with everything from feta, buffalo chicken and bleu cheese. This Winter Park restaurant lives up to its name by serving some exciting dishes, their soups are second to none, and original to say the least, and also change daily. They have a Chicken Green Chili, Italian Sausage Kale, Sweet Potato Bacon and Beef Stew, to name a very few. Back Bowl Soup Co have all vegetarian soups and also “Premiere Soups” like Lobster Bisque, Beef Udon, and Cheesy Beer Brat. Their sandwiches are great for those peckish moments at the base, things like Atomic Sandwich, Never Summer Sandwich and Yeti Meatloaf, to name a few, and they also have a range of mouthwatering burgers and burritos. You can also visit them before hitting the slopes and grab some to-go breakfast or on your lunch break. A great Winter Park restaurant when you just want something to tide you over!
