As you enter, you are greeted by a massive wooden bar. The floor space is smartly divided into three areas. There are seats with space to watch Sky and BT Sport on the right, a snug restaurant section on the left, and an open seating area on the right. Then there’s a quiet patio yard in the back.
This Victorian bar is a two-minute walk from the seashore. It sits on a prominent corner plot at the intersection of Cromwell Road and St George’s Road. Portsmouth United Breweries used to own the pub.

On Tuesday nights, there is a quiz night, and reservations are required for Sunday roasts. Fallen Acorn and Goddards Breweries are supporting LocAle, and Sharps Brewery has two hand pulls.
