If there’s one thing Paris is known for, it’s its food. And Le Ciel de Paris is one of the city’s most iconic restaurants. Located on the 56th floor of the Montparnasse Tower, the restaurant offers stunning views of the city. My husband and I decided to book a table as I featured this restaurant in my article about the best restaurants with an Eiffel Tower View. This was one of the most popular restaurants in the article.
The food is just as impressive as the views. Le Ciel de Paris offers a variety of classic French dishes, as well as some more unique options. My husband and I visited Le Ciel de Paris on our little trip to Paris and had lunch at Le Ciel de Paris. This is a review of our experience.

Le Ciel de Paris Menu Options
Looking for a great place to enjoy a meal with a stunning view of Paris? Look no further than Le Ciel de Paris! This restaurant offers both lunch and dinner menu options, with the lunch menu being an excellent deal. So whether you’re looking to enjoy a romantic meal or simply want to take in the sights, Le Ciel de Paris is the perfect spot.
When it comes to lunch, there are two options: three courses or two courses. Three courses is a lot of food, so it might be too much if you’re not that hungry. Two courses are a good option if you want a filling meal but don’t want to overdo it.
My husband and I opted for the three-course prix fixe menu. The menu is seasonal, and the chef prides himself in using only the finest and freshest ingredients. I mention this because the menu at this restaurant often changes, so the things we have may not be available when you visit. But that’s part of the fun – you never know what you’ll get! – and part of the reason we are already looking forward to visiting again!
Arriving at Le Ciel de Paris
My husband and I arrived a tad late as there were some problems with the metro. We stayed in Montmartre, and the metro took 30 minutes instead of the usual 20. We also had some difficulties finding the tower and restaurant entrance. While you’ll have to enter the tower via the same entrance as the tourists, you’ll be able to take a special elevator directly to the restaurant. We were asked to put our bags through a metal scanner.
Once you arrive on the 56th floor, you’ll be treated to stunning views of the cityscape from every table in the house. Le Ciel de Paris is sure to exceed your expectations whether you’re looking for an intimate dining experience or a night out with friends.
Our Menu choices at Le Ciel de Paris
We were seated at a small table by the window. As a result, we had one of the most spectacular views of the Eiffel Tower. Although there wasn’t a lot of space (the restaurant is all-in-all not that big), the seats were comfortable, and the staff was happy to help us tuck away my handbag and camera bag.
When we sat down, the Le Ciel de Paris staff brought us incredibly nice savoury biscuits that paired amazingly with the white wine we ordered. We were so pleased with the wine selection that we ordered a bottle of white wine to share.
I ordered a smoked fish salad as a starter, and my husband ordered an egg foam with artichoke – a dish he was absolutely blown away by. We were both delighted with our starters, but my husband’s dish, in particular, was something special. The egg foam was light and airy, and the artichoke added a lovely earthy flavour. I would definitely order this dish again!
For mains, we chose the seafood linguine and the chicken with barbecue sauce and quinoa. I absolutely loved the seafood linguine, and my husband enjoyed the barbecue sauce. The pasta was cooked perfectly, and the sauce was light but packed with flavour. The chicken was moist, and the barbecue sauce was delicious. We both agreed that the quinoa was some of our best.
My husband and I are both big fans of cheese, so when we saw the Saint Marcellin cheese on the menu, we knew we had to try it. Especially since Saint Marcellin is one of my favourite cheeses. The cheese sadly was not yet ripe, but it was nevertheless a nice dessert. The texture was still too chalky, but the taste was terrific.
