Hyde Park is gigantic! It is so big that there will always be a little picnic spot for you to sit down. In summer there is a great atmosphere. People are playing games, walk around or bask in the sun. sometimes, if you are lucky, the people next to you might have a guitar.

I love sitting by the water and looking at the birds in the serpentine. A great place if you want picnic in the park in London!

St James's Park Picnic Spot London

Another one of my absolute favourites is St James’s Park. I love the serpentine. There are pelicans and other rare birds the royal family has received over the years. I adore the little houses and cottages throughout the little park. I especially love the house for the bird keeper. It is something out of a fairytale.

Another reason why I love St James’ Park are the “unwanted visitors”. The squirrels are quite nosey and might come and beg for a bit of bread if you’re not too loud.

Picnic Spot near British Museum at Russel Square

The first few times I came to the UK, I went to Russel Square to wait for my partner. He was still studying at UCL and I took that time to sit in the April sun and read. I liked sitting there. I decided to bring some food and a little plaid to sit and picnic between the daffodils the next time I went. It way priceless and I cannot wait till doing this again!

Picnic Spot under the Japanese Blossoms at Greenwich Park

I love picnicing in Greenwich Park. I used to live in Greenwich myself. It was always an easy choice in summer on where we would hold a massive picnic with friends.

Greenwich Park is definitely one of the best picnic spots in London. Not only is the park beautiful, it also has a lot of great history, and it is never very busy. I would definitely recommend heading to Greenwich Park. It is a great picnic destination if you want to picnic in the park in London.

Say hello to the deer at a Richmond Park Picnic

Although I would argue that Richmond Park is quite a long way out of London, it does make for a great picnic spot.

The Richmond Park is a deer park which means you can eat your baguette and drinking your wine between the deer. If you are an animal lover and planning a trip to London you should not miss Richmond Park. It is one of the best picnic spots in London.
