I have to admit : I secretly LOVE beauty oils. Most oils are so versatile that they could actually replace loads of products – and did I mention most of them smell absolutely fabulous?
This Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse might be my favourite oil – if only because of its perfume, but also because it just sits so beautifully on my skin!
Most beauty oils are or too runny or too oily and they just make you skin vary greasy. I have a combination skin and although I know I shouldn’t, I really look for those gems that are able to take care of my whole face and not just the greasy or dryer patches. And this oil might just be one of those heroes!
I have been using this oil for about two weeks now. Dabbing the liquid onto my face as if it was pure gold, savouring every drop. No, I am not joking at all! Literally, you should see me putting it on!
I have fairly sensitive skin. I used to be the kid at the birthday parties that could not get face paint because my skin would go red and patchy. This means I almost instantly know if my skin like a product or if it doesn’t. Let me tell you : My skin is loving the Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse! It leaves no residue at all and makes my skin go all soft and fluffy – like a baby’s skin. I have used it this morning and I honestly cannot stop touching my cheeks!
The oil contains TOCOPHEROL which is an antioxidant with vitamin C. It makes your skin looks healthy, Camellia oil which moisturises your skin and Borage oil which takes care of wrinkles. One of the reasons this oil works on my sensitive skin is the Hazelnut oil that works very well with the Argan Oil, which soothe and repair the skin. Throughout the day I can feel the oil working its magic on my skin. My skin stays hydrated even with the spring sun shining down and the first air conditioning turning on. Even my hands – I get oil on them because I rub the oil into my skin, seem to be needing less and less hand cream!
Oh and let me tell you of the smell! The smell is absolutely divine! The first time I opened the little bottle I was catapulted back to when I was a little girl, and my parents would take me to a friend of theirs who had the massive castle in the Flemish countryside. Everything smelled old, antique, floral and just… this oil smells like old money, like being rich. Whenever I rub this oil into my face I just feel like a rich bitch! And I love it!
I have a lot of split ends ( if you know great products for damaged hair, please let me know!! ) and I used this oil on my hair as well. Although my ends go extremely soft, I don’t see a lot of change so I will just keep on using it on my skin.
Do I love it? Hell yeah! Would I buy it? Of course!
£13.50 for 50 ml is such a great price for this little golden gem!
